Our Story
As an artist, I, Promzy, created my song “Nwa Abia” to celebrate our heritage and identity.
Abia State was created in 1991 and we’ve been making moves ever since. We’re the home of Aba – where “Made in Aba” shoes and clothes reach the whole world from Ariaria Market.

We’re the people who still break kola nut to welcome guests. We celebrate New Yam Festival every harvest season. Our Ohafia warriors dance with pride, and our women weave the finest Akwete cloth you’ll ever see.
Our culture is our superpower. When the world tries to make everyone the same, we stay rooted in who we are. We speak Igbo. We honour our ancestors. We build our communities strong.
